Just wondering what everyone thought. I am not religious...so I am not asking for a lecture. I would just appreciate some feedback.
I personally dont think there are a lot of pros. For the most part, I think that organized religion is the cause of a lot of the worlds problems.

A person in a book, who makes you feel like you want to be the same as herhim, a sort of idol. Or simply catches you by the unique personality.

And she repeats the same phrases over and over and over again. Chagrin chagrin chagrin. STFU. Her books are riddled with plot holes and discrepancies. How can Edward, who has been dead for nearly years, have sperm, which is alive, and has the capability to father a child. Yeah makes awesome sense. And how can that child even exist. Its not scientifically possible for someone to have chromosomes. It results in down syndrome. Obviously the stupid mormon doesnt believe in proven scientific fact. When we saw the movie my friends and I would burst out laughing every time Jasper came on screen. His face was just so hilarious. He was the best thing in that movie without a doubt. He looked constipated the entire time.

Well I would say Twilight BUT id have to go with the very first book that made me want to keep reading forever.
It was probably The Little Princess by Frances Hodgeson Burnett, way back in elementary school. It is the first book I remember calling my favorite, back when I was or years old. Although it could also be the Baby Sitters Club series which I read religiously through elementary school and early middle school. It was certainly my first favorite series. Which ever one it was though, I have loved reading for a long, long time.

If you truly want it to look professional, I would keep away from a typical threering binder. Putting holes in your work and certifications can be an annoying and long process and it just doesnt look very adult.brbrAt stores like Staples, they have quotpresentation bindersquot you can put your own cover on it or leave it plain, and it comes with a number of clear sheets inside that you can put your work in. Im writing a short story about a young couple and I know I want them to have sex, its kinda the main plot if you will. Ive never written one before, but Ive read a few. Im not a fan of graphic scences so how would you recommend I go about it?
Ahh, clean sex scenes. My favourite.brbrJust black them out. Despite me being hugely AntiTwilight, its a perfect example for a blackout sex scene.brbrIts kind of like a timeskip. You dont actually DESCRIBE the sex. Sophie Kinsella is also good at blackout sex scenes. Its mostly something like this heres one Im just making up at the top of my headbrbrHe grabbed her arms and pulled her towards him, and at the contact of their skin, a mixture of emotions shot straight into her system desire, lust, and excitement. Everywhere he touched she felt a sizzling burning feeling, and her breath kept coming in shorter as more seconds ticked by. Start new, after the sex. Show them waking up in bed together, whatever. BUT its crucial you end the scene with some sort of catchy line or whatever. In my sex blackout scenes, I never actually use any sexrelated terms. Its all about implying and reading between the lines. Hint VERY STRONGLY so its obvious theyre gonna have sex, but dont actually say quottheyre gonna have sexquot. Dont use sex terms, or actions, or whatever. Describing the feelings during the situation are important. Very.brbrNow heres an example followup to that scene above again, writing from the top of my headbrbrShe woke up the next morning cuddled against his bare chest, feeling nothing but bliss and satisfaction. The mattress felt soft and endearing under her body, but she felt laying against his stiff frame and using his arm as a pillow was much more comfortable and preferable.brbrblah blah blah...ltinsert vague remarks to sex from last nightgtbrbrbrbrYea, thats about it. I find writing clean sex scenes amazingly easier, and trust me, blacking out is much more preferable in many situations to having the actual sex scene there to read. Just... let the readers imagination flow. Give them the nice blackout in between.brbrGood luck, love. Im sure youll do fine.

Im fourteen, maybe too young to be writing a novel, but I think I found something I want to write about. The story is about a twentyfouryearold musician falling in love with a fifteenyearold girl that is working with him on music videos for his bands album. Ive written five chapters already, should I continue? Is this concept too unrealistic or too creepy?

If you were taking a creative writing class at your local community college and a yearold girl was attending the same course as you and could write just as good, if not better as you, would you be insulted?
I would not be insulted... unless she walked up to me and said, quotYou suck.quot or something. That would be insulting. But no I would probably just be very jealous and go on for days not admitting to myself that she is better. Then Id calm down a bit and be happy for her and try to push her to develop her gift. At years old, no matter how good of a writer you are, you can get a LOT better.

It all depends on the tone of the story really. Some books are very bleak and if they were real then they wouldnt end well, so when they do, I feel like Ive been taken for a fool. That being said, When you read a HAPPY book that then ends in tragedy you cant help but think, Well the author only did that to make the reader cry It just comes across as false or trying too hardbrbrSo to answer your question I like an ending thats authentic, Not necessarily predictable, but certainly one that fits the tone of the entire work.brbrI do believe in happy endings. But I think they should be earned by the protagonist. I HATE deus ex Machinas.

Writers if you had to choose between fiction and poetry, which would you choose?
My school only allows you to specialize in one or the other. Im relatively decided but curious about what other people prefer and why.
Fiction. I love poetry too, but theres something so engrossing about the elements of telling a story and making a compelling plot. I also think that to some extent, poetry can be incorporated into prose I mean, look at some modern authors, Neil Gaiman comes to mind, and they reeeally have a way with language, some very pretty turns of phrase.

Can anybody suggest me some books with a very sad story and it can make you cry? I want to read something which is very moving. I prefer some stories about family problems or an orphans life, very tragic romance, just something really good and sad. Thanks
If you want to laugh and cry read quotThe Secret Life of Beesquot by Sue Kidd Monk. I see that someone else suggested this also. The young heroine in this novel is not an orphan but sometimes she feels like it. An excellent book.

Im a college student and space is a factor, so the only books I have with me are those I consider totally topnotch. Heres the listbrThe Gap Series, by Stephen R. Donaldson The Real Story, Forbidden Knowledge, A Dark and Hungry God Arises, Chaos and Order, and This Day All Gods Die.brA couple of books from the Sandman series, by Neil Gaiman.brA copy of Watchmen, by Alan Moore. These last two are comic books, but with writing to put most novels to shame.brA few assorted paperbacks, Robert Parker, Piers Anthony, etc. I mostly recommend the others as highly as I can.

Writers, do you carefully pick out your characters names? Or do you just take a name out of the top of your head? How much time do you spend on character names?
I try to think of names that would fit them. Names mean a lot to me. I have to like it. It has to fit into my mouth if I talk about it. I spend from about seconds to a few minutes finding a name. Sometimes Ill just think of something, other times Ill go on the interenet and search name meanings or words that start with a certain letter.brbrI must have good names.brbrGod bless!brJane

Accepting things that you cant change, not letting simple things like gossip and negative people that dont care about you get you down and taking a good look at the world around you. For me, its really easy to be happy knowing all the crap that Ive been through and made it through. You dont have to go through something tramatic to find happiness. It should realy be a choice. There are so many people in this world that go through horrible things everyday. Dont take your life and happiness for granted. You woke up this morning. Theres something to be happy about. Youre sane. Theres something else. You have a roof over your head and foos on your table. You have some in this world that cares about you. Unfortunately, millions of people cant say the same.
