I choose make a child cry because I have done that many times as a preschool teacher. In training children to have self discipline and showing them how to keep from hurting others physicallyto use their words instead of physical violence. brbrThose little feelings would be hurt but a few minutes later the smile was turned upside down and the child had learned that the behavior I was trying to model was the best way to go. brbrUsually the child had done something that was hurtful to another child and the other child was crying already so two crying children led to two crying children learning somethingI wont allow anyone to get away with physical violence in my room and if a child is hurt by another, I will comfor the hurtee and punish the hurter.brbr Trusting an adult to never hurt you physically is a wonderful thing to have if you are a child.brbrAnd trusting a human is a great thing for an animal to have. brbrI would never consider kicking any animal and I have a problem stepping on ants. There is a cricket in my office and I keep looking for him because I dont want him to die. I would like to put him back outside so he can continue his journey.
